I'm attending Ohio State University for my bachelor's degree in economics, but as a tutor I enjoy helping students learn math. I had the opportunity to tutor my peers as a high school student throughout my high school courses and particularly in AP calculus. I think it's vitally important for math students to gain a full understanding of the subject as opposed to memorizing formulas or identifying patterns. I observe my students as they work through problems, which gives me insight into where the gaps in their knowledge exist. I talk students through these obstacles without giving away answers, helping them become independent learners. In my free time, I like to watch movies and read.
